Professional Profile
Maria V. Stout is a partner in the firm’s San Diego office. She practices in many areas of intellectual property law including patent prosecution, litigation, and licensing.
Maria has expertise in a number of technologies including mechanical devices, medical devices and procedures, automated testing for molecular diagnostics, display technologies, and aerospace developments.
She earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of San Diego Law Review. Prior to law school, Maria was a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy.
Maria worked as a summer associate with the firm in 2007 and joined the firm in 2008.
